Built
in 1910, the building Sagentic now owns and operates out of
provides for 5000 square feet of space. It includes
seven private offices, a large conference room, photo
studio, and a large designer's area. Located in
downtown Cleburne, Texas, it is one of the oldest structures
as the deed is listed as Block 1, Lot 3 of Original
Cleburne.
Cleburne is located in Johnson County,
southwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Its heritage
can be seen in the beautiful Victorian homes nestled
throughout the city. Cleburne's historic downtown contains
numerous antique and specialty shops, and of course,
Sagentic Web Design.
Sagentic bought this building in January
of 2005. Before, that it housed Optometrists, Lawyers,
Real Estate Agents, Photographers, Insurance Agents,
and Retail Clothing Stores. This is fitting since
Sagentic specializes in web design for all of those
industries and more. The picture to your left shows 6
E Chambers St as it was in 1940 during a downtown parade.
During this time, the downstairs housed a Men's Clothing
Store and upstairs housed several attorneys and insurance
agents. |

It seems that every time we change a
light bulb or an old ceiling tile, we find some interesting
items that give hints as to the building's previous
occupants. For example, dozens of checks dated from
1920-1923 were found bearing the signature of Edward W.
Robertson, an attorney at the time. Along with the
checks were water bills, bank statements, country club dues,
advertisements and copies of the Congressional Record mailed
out to voters.
