The Cleburne Pregnancy Center is a non-profit pregnancy resource center dedicated to providing women and men with accurate, up-to-date information in order to make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health and relationships.

This Center is directed and staffed with caring, honest, reliable individuals. However, we are not licensed professionals. The peer counseling undertaken at the CPC is not intended to be a substitute for professional counseling. A referral for such counseling will be given if requested. The pregnancy test being used is approximately 99% effective.


Background
On January 22, 1973, the United States Supreme Court ruled in the landmark Roe vs. Wade decision that unborn human beings are not legal “persons.” It was determined that an unborn child is the property of the owner (mother), and she can have the child killed at her request. Since that decision, more than 40 million unborn children have been legally aborted.

Purpose of Agency
ButterflyCleburne Pregnancy Center, founded in August 1988, was prayerfully designed to inform the many pregnant women and girls in our community of the positive alternatives to abortion as well as the dangers of having an abortion. Realizing that an unwanted pregnancy is the surface problem of a much more serious root problem, our ultimate goal is to reach those women and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are confident many of these women will put their faith in Christ, and as a result, provide a Christian home for their child. For the others we will claim God’s promise as stated in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth; it shall not return unto Me void; but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
