In 2003, two Marines with a passion for web design and creativity founded Sagentic Web Design in Cleburne, Texas after finishing their decade long service in the United States Marine Corps. As the internet was still in its infancy, they set out to build quality and custom websites for small and medium-sized businesses that were forward-thinking.
Sagentic Web Design moved all agency operations to their new downtown offices in Cañon City, Colorado in 2019. Fast forward to 2023 and Sagentic Web Design is celebrating 20 years of helping hundreds of businesses and organizations build their online presence.
The early days of web design were challenging. Web browsers were often difficult to work with, and coding languages were continuously evolving, making it difficult for websites to keep up. Despite these challenges, Sagentic Web Design remained committed to delivering high-quality websites that met their clients' needs and expectations.

Sagentic’s Founders and Namesake
Sagentic Web Design is a family-owned and operated business located in Cañon City, Colorado. The company was founded in 2003 by Kenny and Erica Haferkamp, who both served in the United States Marine Corps before starting their own business.
Kenny, who holds an MBA in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Coaching, serves as the Lead Developer at Sagentic Web Design. Erica, with her BBA in Marketing, is the Creative Director. Both bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the table, ensuring that Sagentic consistently delivers outstanding results for their clients.
Erica also enjoys serving the local Fremont County community by being a Board Member and the Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance.
The name Sagentic was inspired by their daughter Sage, who was 4 years old when Sagentic Web Design was started and 20 years later is now serving in the United States Air Force and studying Marketing in college. After completing her military service, she plans to return to Cañon City to join her parents at Sagentic Web Design and continue the family tradition of providing top-notch web design and marketing services.

Expansion of Services
Kenny and Erica Haferkamp, the husband and wife team behind Sagentic Web Design, moved to Cañon City with a vision to help local business owners in Fremont County with their marketing needs. With their combined experience in marketing, coaching, and web design, they quickly became known for their exceptional digital marketing services.
But as their clients' needs evolved, Kenny and Erica realized that they needed to offer more. They saw a growing demand for printed marketing materials and decided to expand their services to include them. And so, they opened DARE Print & Sign Co. on Main Street in downtown Cañon City in 2020.
With DARE Print & Sign Co., they can now provide a full range of marketing services to their clients, from website design and social media marketing to printed materials like business cards, flyers, and banners. Their goal is to help their clients succeed in reaching their target audience and grow their businesses.
Their daughter Jeorjia Dare Ewing, who recently finished her service in the United States Marine Corps, has joined them at Sagentic Web Design and DARE Print & Sign Co. Jeorjia has been working hard to become an expert graphic designer and print marketing specialist, and her exceptional customer service skills make her a valuable asset to the team.
Jeorjia is also studying business and marketing in college at Pueblo Community College. She has been awarded multiple scholarships and awards for her grades, and her goal is to become a full partner in the business that is named after her and open an additional location after obtaining her degree(s). Outside of work and school, Jeorjia enjoys many outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer to include snow skiing, hiking, and soccer.
