We run a small team out of our downtown Cañon City, Colorado office and manage over one hundred client websites on our own dedicated server infrastructure. We write the content, design the logos, build the sites, and keep everything running. No outsourcing. No offshore teams. No WordPress.
Our developers work with AI tools like Claude Code and Claude Desktop as core parts of their daily workflow. We use AI to write better code faster, but we still need developers who understand what the code does and why it matters. What You Will Actually Do
This is not a job where you sit in meetings all day or push tickets through a queue. You will build and maintain real websites that real businesses depend on.
- Build and Maintain Client Websites
Design, develop, and update websites using PHP 8.x, MariaDB, Bootstrap 5, and our proprietary CMS platform. You will work across dozens of client sites, not just one product - Use AI Tools Daily
Write and refine code using Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and other AI-assisted development tools. Review AI-generated output with a critical eye. Know when to trust it and when to fix it - Solve Problems Directly
Troubleshoot issues, implement client requests, and improve site performance. You will have direct access to the server and the autonomy to get things done without waiting on approvals - Write Accessible, Standards-Compliant Code
Build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards. We serve government clients who require it, and we hold all our sites to the same bar - Collaborate With a Small Team
Work closely with our web development, creative, and social media teams. Small team means your ideas get heard and your work ships fast
What We Are Looking For
We care more about what you can do than how many years are on your resume. If you are sharp, curious, and can demonstrate real ability, we want to hear from you.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field - PHP and SQL Proficiency
You should be comfortable writing PHP and working with relational databases. This is a PHP shop. If your experience is primarily React or Python, this probably is not the right fit - AI-Assisted Development Experience
You should already be using AI tools in your development workflow. We want someone who knows how to prompt effectively, review AI output critically, and integrate AI into production work - Front-End Fundamentals
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and responsive design. You should be able to build a clean, accessible page without a framework doing it for you - Problem-Solving Over Pattern-Matching
We manage a diverse portfolio of client sites with unique configurations. You need to be someone who figures things out, not someone who only works when there is a tutorial for it - Communication Skills
You will interact with a small team and occasionally with clients. Clear writing and the ability to explain technical decisions in plain language matter here
Position Details
This is a hybrid and flexible position. We are based in Cañon City, Colorado and prefer candidates who can work from or visit the office, but we are open to remote arrangements within the United States for the right person. Pay is based on experience and demonstrated ability.
